Kostas Arachovitis had a flair for art from an early age. His creativity and natural talents made him stand out from his peers, and when the time came for him to pick a career, he knew that art would be at the heart of it. So, in his home country of Greece, Kostas began to work with plaster. Over the course of many years in business, he established himself as a trusted provider of skilled plaster work.
Restoring and improving a plethora of homes, businesses and historical locations in Greece. In the eighties, Kostas decided to make the move to America with his family, including his wife and three sons. In 1989, he established Ionic Casting as his new company in his new country, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The continuing legacy of Kostas
After years of managing the company himself, Kostas brought his three sons into the fold. They learned the craft from their father who was a seasoned expert, and became key components of the business’s ongoing success. Over time, they became just as skilled as their dad, creating beautiful and strong plaster molding and architectural design elements that have adorned buildings across the state.
